A tribal housing inspector > and armed tribal policeman forcibly entered the home of Vicky Schenandoah without a search warrant. Earlier Vicky schenandoah's sister Danielle and Uncle had their home demolished. Her Uncle had his home and all of its contents demolished while he was laying in a hospital bed after suffering a stroke.
< Vicky Schenandoah and her two son along with other traditional families live under a constant threat of having their homes demolished by Onieda tribal officials. Vicky Schenandoah and other family members that are traditional Oneida Indians were quickly punished when they spoke out about the issue of open meetings regarding a proposed casino.
"Oneida members set up a meeting with Syracuse journalists to discuss their concerns," she said. "Several people were disenrolled and lost their membership simply for attending that press conference." click here to read article
